B. Definitions
B.1 “App” means the Stakemate mobile based application downloaded through iOS and Android stores.
B.2 An “Event” is a scheduled competition involving two teams or players that is listed on Stakemate which Customers can bet on. The outcome is determined by the rules and regulations governing the sport.
B.3 “Group Bet” is a reference to a group of Bets placed by different Customers, where each respective Customer has agreed to place a Bet with Stakemate with the same stake and the same selections but each such Bet is only placed with Stakemate when the Creator Customer elects to place the Bet. For the avoidance of doubt, such a group of Bets are not syndicate betting.
B.4 “Regular Time” or “Full Time” is interpreted in relation to the official rules published by the respective governing association. For example, in football, Full Time is stipulated to be 90 minutes plus injury time but excluding Extra Time or Penalties. Should the governing association decide to stipulate, before the start of the event, that the said event is to be played over a different duration, this will be treated as being the official rules for the event. Regular Time or Full Time does not include any prolongation (Extra Time or overtime), unless explicitly stated in the bet offer.
B.5 “Rules” means these Betting Rules.
B.6 “Terms and Conditions” means Stakemate’s general terms and conditions which can be accessed in the App.
B.7 “Accumulator” means a Bet that contains one selection from at least two different Events.
B.8 “Bet Builder” means a Bet that combines two or more selections from one Event. Bet Builders on different Events can be combined together into an Accumulator or combined with single selections from different Events into an Accumulator.
B.9 “Groups” is a feature on the Stakemate App, where Customers can join a Group to chat, share Bets, copy Bets and create Group Bets.
B.10 “Extra Time” refers to an additional 30 minutes of play after the “Full Time” whistle.
B.11 “Penalties” refers to a penalty shoot-out which occurs after a period of Extra Time in which the scores are still level to determine the winner of a tie.
C. Bet Creation & Acceptance
C.1 Bet acceptance occurs when a unique bet ID has been issued and the Bet is reflected in the account history. To check if a Bet has been accepted, visit the “Your Bets” section of the App where details of all accepted Bets are displayed.
C.2 Unless accepted in error by Stakemate, once accepted, a Bet will remain valid and cannot be cancelled by you. It is your responsibility to ensure details of the proposed bet are correct before placing the Bet. Please see the ‘Group Bet Specific Rules’ from C.8 onwards below, for specific rules regarding the acceptance of a Group Bet.
C.3 Should a dispute arise about the acceptance (or lack of) of any transaction or Bet in your account, Stakemate’s database will be the ultimate authority in deciding such matters.
Information
C.4 The initial payout/potential payout value displayed when a Bet is being contemplated is for information purposes only. The payout/potential payout value will be confirmed once a Bet has been placed. Please see the ‘Group Bet Specific Rules’ from C.8 onwards below for specific rules, regarding the payout/potential payout value of a Group Bet.
C.5 The kick-off time shown on the App is to be treated for information purposes only.
C.6 Information referring to (but not limited to) gender, age or participants shall be treated as supplementary information of which the availability and correctness cannot be treated as sufficient cause to void Bets related to the match/event.
C.7 Statistics or other text/information shown on the App are to be considered as supplementary information. Stakemate does not acknowledge or accept any liability whatsoever if such information is incorrect. At all times it is your responsibility to be aware of the circumstances relating to an Event.
Group Bet Specific
C.8 All Rules in Bet Creation & Acceptance C.1 – C.7 apply to a Group Bet unless explicitly noted below.
C.9 A Customer can create a Group Bet by navigating to the ‘Groups’ tab, clicking on a group they are in and pressing the group bet button. Other Customers in that group can join such a Group Bet.
C.10 Any Customer within such Group can then agree to place a Group Bet, with:
- different stakes for each customer;
- any selections as added to the betslip by any customer;
C.11 At any time between the time when a customer creates the Group Bet and 7am the next day (UK time), any Customer can confirm that the Group Bet (i.e. each of the separate Bets between Stakemate and all customers in the Group Bet shall be placed). Please note that:
- such Bets will not be placed with Stakemate until any Customer elects that such Bets should be placed;
- the odds of a Bet which is part of a Group Bet may change between the time a customer adds their selection to the bet and the time any customer takes to place such a Group Bet; and
- unless and until any customer elects that the Group Bets will be placed, your individual Bet will not be placed.
C.12 In the period between you inputting your stake for the Group Bet and the Group Bet being placed, the relevant stake will be shown as being on hold in your account.
C.13 Prior to a customer in the Group Bet placing the Group Bet with Stakemate, any customer may elect to remove their approval for their individual Bet within such Group Bet, in which event their respective individual Bet is void and deleted, and the original stake returned to the customer. In such instance, if any of the remaining customers in the Group Bet place the bet, all remaining customers will still have a Bet placed with Stakemate, not including any leg of the Group Bet selected by that customer who removed their approval and who did not have a Bet placed.
C.14 If by 7am (UK time) the day after the Group Bet was created, any customer does not confirm to Stakemate that the Group Bet should be placed, the respective Group Bet will be voided.
C.15 Stakemate reserves the right to suspend or remove the Group Bets feature at any time for any event, fixture, market or customer.
D. Betting and Payout Limitations
D.1 All bets submitted on the sportsbook are subject to our own evaluation prior to acceptance. We may decide to decline such bets after evaluation for any reason including handling exposure and checking data integrity. In some cases, we may propose a max stake limit if your original stake is declined.
D.2 All Bets placed can be subject to a time delay prior to acceptance (the length of which may vary). Such delay is determined by Stakemate at its sole discretion.
E. Cancellation (Voiding) of Bets
E.1 A Bet can be declared void, and in such circumstance, the initial stake will be returned. Where Stakemate has provided a Customer with a free bet, the stake of the free bet will not be returned.
E.2 All Bets accepted in the following circumstances will be declared void:
· betting effected after an Event has started; and
· betting effected on an Event where the Event is subsequently suspended or cancelled.
E.3 We reserve the right to void Bets where an Event’s start time is delayed or postponed. Bets would be made void prior to the rearranged game’s start time.
Accumulator bets
E.4 Bet Builders that include player markets (to be carded, to score etc.) will remain live even if selected players do not participate in the Event. If all other selections within the Bet Builder win, the Bet Builder will be voided with your stake returned. If any of the selections lose, the Bet Builder will be settled as a loser. If all selections are voided, the Bet Builder will be voided with your stake returned. This also applies to Accumulator Bets that have Bet Builders within them.
E.5 If an Accumulator Bet has a selection that is void, the Accumulator will remain live with the new odds being every selection’s odds (at the time of placement) within the Accumulator multiplied together. If a Bet Builder’s first settled selection is void or the Bet Builder contains a combination of voided and won selections with no lost selections, the whole Bet Builder will be void.
E.6 Where one or more selections of an Accumulator or Bet Builder are pending settlement, the entire Accumulator/Bet Builder will remain unsettled. If there is a losing selection in the Accumulator/Bet Builder that has settled, the Bets will be settled as a loser.
E.7 An Accumulator which combines different selections within the same event or selections of events with the same participants shall not be accepted where it would be impossible for all such different selections to be correct. Although Stakemate takes all necessary steps to prevent such possibilities, in the eventuality that this would happen, Stakemate reserves the right, solely at its own discretion, to declare void all parts of the Accumulator which include the correlated outcomes.
Group Bet Specific
E.8 If one Customer in a Group has placed a Bet as part of a Group Bet and their Bet is voided for any reason, every other Customer’s Bet in such Group Bet would also be voided.
E.9 Stakemate will void a Customer’s individual Bet if they self-exclude in the period between having joined the proposed Group Bet and any other customer placing such Group Bet.
F. Result Settlement
F.1 All Bets are settled on results provided by our data service provider, unless there is clear evidence that such results are not correct. If no official result is available after an Event has finished, Stakemate reserves the right to await official confirmation of the result and therefore delay settlement for up to 48 hours. If a result is not confirmed after 48 hours, then all Bets will be voided.
F.2 All Bets are settled based on results at the end of “Regular Time” or “Full Time” only and do not include any prolongation (Extra Time/overtime and/or penalty shootouts where applicable), unless explicitly stated in the bet offer. Such bet offers refer to markets such as ‘method of victory’ (Full Time, Extra Time or Penalties), or ‘Extra Time total goals over/under’.
F.3 Bets on teams which are disqualified before the start of an Event will be made void.
F.4 Bets on cancelled events (i.e. not taking place at all) will be void.
F.5 When calculating Bet settlements, Stakemate will use the decimal format by default. This will be irrespective of Customer preferred settings.
FOOTBALL
F.6 Only occurrences which have been acknowledged by match officials will count towards Bet settlement.
F.7 Bets will stand if a match kicks-off earlier than the originally stated kick-off time/date.
F.8 Bets will stand where a match is postponed and rescheduled by the governing association to start within 48 hours of the original kick-off time stated. Bets will be void where the match does not start within 48 hours of the original kick-off time.
F.9 Bets will stand when a match is abandoned before it has completed and then restarted within 48 hours of the original kick-off time. If the match is not restarted within 48 hours then all Bets will be void except for:
(i) markets where the outcome has already been determined; or
(ii) if the governing association declares the result at the time of abandonment as final, Bets will be settled on this decision.
F.10 Bets apply to the standard 90 minutes of play unless otherwise stated. The standard 90 minutes of play include added injury/stoppage time but does not include Extra Time, penalty shootout or golden goal.
F.11 Bets on “Extra Time” and “Total Goals – Extra Time” are settled on the result during Extra Time (but does not include penalty shootout) and do not include the standard 90 minutes of play including injury/stoppage time unless otherwise stated.
F.12 In the case of a venue change, all Bets will stand.
F.13 For Bets on “Both Teams To Score” and “First Team to Score” markets, own goals count to the side credited with the goal.
F.14 Own goals will not be considered for ‘Player to Score’ markets settlement purposes and are ignored.
F.15 Markets will be settled based on statistics provided by our data service provider unless there is clear evidence that these statistics are not correct. Adjustments to settlement will not be made for any changes or adjudications made by governing bodies after the event.
F.16 All pre-match Bets on ‘Player to Score’ where the player is not then in the group or stays on the bench for the entire match will be made void. All in-play Bets on ‘Player to Score’ where the player stays on the bench for the entire match will be made void.
F.17 If the match is abandoned after a goal has been scored, all unsettled Bets on the market will be void.
F.18 Stakemate offers a range of player and game stats markets (e.g shots on target). For settlement of these markets, Stakemate uses a reputable third party sources including but not limited to Opta.
F.19 Opta data and our other data providers are as accurate as possible, on rare occasions statistics or match events can be reviewed meaning this could change the settlement of bets.
F.20 Exceptions to the standard 90 minutes of play settlement rule apply to friendly matches, where all match markets will be settled based on the actual result at the end of the game (excluding extra time), regardless of whether the game is completed in a full 90 minutes format or a different one (for example, 4 x 20 minute periods).
F.21 If a match is played in an irregular format, ‘Half’ related markets are void.
F.22 If the home and away teams for a listed match are switched (e.g., the match is played at the original away team's venue), any bets placed based on the initial listing will be void.
G. Market Definitions
G.1 Full time result - You are betting on the outcome of the match (Home, Draw, Away) at the end of the 90 minutes of play, which includes any added injury or stoppage time (“full time”), but does not include Extra Time, or the result after a penalty shootout.
G.2 Double chance – You are betting on the full time result with two selections covered in your Bet:
Home or draw – If home wins or the match is a draw then Bets on this option are winners.
Draw or away – If away wins or the match is a draw then Bets on this option are winners.
Home or away – If home or away wins the match then Bets on this option are winners.
G.3 Over/Under Total Goals – You are betting on the number of goals at full time either being under or over the betting line. The most popular line is over/under 2.5 goals. For example, if the line is over/under 2.5 goals and you select under 2.5 goals and the match ends 1-1, then your selection is a winner as the total goals equals 2, which is under 2.5. If the match ends 2-1, your selection is a loser as the total goals equals 3, which is over 2.5.
G.4 First Team To Score – You are betting on which team will score the first goal in full time. Selections can be no goal, or home or away to score first. Any selection winning results in the other two options being losers.
G.5 Both Teams To Score – You are betting on whether both teams in the match will score at least one goal during full time. There are “yes” and “no” selections, yes being both teams will score at least one goal, and no being that both teams will not score at least one goal.
G.6 Player To Score – You are betting on a player to score at any point up until full time.
G.7 Half time Result – You are betting on the winner (Home, Draw, or Away) of the first half of the match. If you select the home team, and the first half ends with them 1-0 up, then your Bet is settled as a winner, even if the team goes on to lose the match at full time.
G.8 Over/Under Half Time Goals – You are betting on the number of goals at the end of the first half either being under or over the betting line. If you select under 1.5 goals and the first half ends 0-0, then your selection is a winner as the total goals equals 0, which is under 1.5.
G.9 Total Corners Over/Under – You are betting on the total amount of corners at the end full time being under or over the betting line. For example, if the betting line is under/over 9.5 corners, if you select under and there are 9 corners at full time, your Bet will be settled as a winner as the number of corners equals 9, which is under 9.5. Only corners taken are counted as corners.
G.10 Team With Most Corners – You are betting on the team (Home, Draw, Away) to have the most corners at full time. For home or away to win, the selected team would need to have more corners at full time than the other team. For a draw selection to win, each team would need the same number of corners at full time.
G.11 Total Booking Points Over/Under – You are betting on the total number of booking points at full time being under or over the betting line. Cards shown to non-players (e.g managers, substitutes or substituted players who play no further part in the match) do not count. Any card shown after the full time whistle has been blown do not count. Here is the booking point value of cards:
One yellow card = 10 booking points
Red card = 25 booking points
Two yellows (for the same player) into a red card = Booking points 35 (10+25).
If you are betting on Over/Under 42.5 Booking Points, and you select over, if five individual players each receive a yellow card then your Bet will win. This is because the total booking points will be 50 (5x10).
G.12 Carded markets (Player to be Carded, Home Team Total Cards Over / Under, etc…) - You are betting on players to be shown a card between kick off and full time. Cards shown to non-players (e.g substitutes or substituted players who play no further part in the match) do not count. Any card shown after the full time whistle has been blown do not count.

A change of surface (either before or during a match).
K.2. In the event of a match starting but not being completed then all bets will be void unless:
After the start of the match a player is disqualified in which case the player/team progressing to the next round or being awarded the victory will be deemed the winner for settlement purposes.

M. Boxing
M.1 Bets on postponed fights will stay live for 30 days unless communicated otherwise. If one fighter drops out and is replaced by another fighter, all bets will void with stakes returned.
M.2 For betting purposes the fight officially starts at the sound of the bell for the 1st round.
M.3 Should one fighter fail to answer the bell for the next round, their opponent is deemed to have won in the previous round.
M.4 If a No Contest is declared all bets will be made void and stakes returned, except for markets that have already been determined.
M.5 Bets will be settled on the result declared at the end of the fight by the official announcer. Appeals/amendments do not affect settlement (unless the settlement was made due to human error when announcing the result). If there is no announcement of the result at the end of a fight, markets will be settled on the result displayed on the applicable organisation’s official site.
M.6 If the scheduled length of rounds for a fight are changed e.g. rounds being reduced from 3 minutes to 2 minutes (but the number of scheduled rounds remain the same), then bets on all markets will stand.
M.7 Draw is a scorecard draw. Technical Draw is if the referee stops the fight before the start of the 5th round, for any reason other than a KO, TKO or disqualification. In the event of a fight being declared a No Contest all bets will be void and stakes returned.
M.8 KO or TKO – Knockout (KO) occurs when the boxer does not stand up after a 10 count. Technical Knockout (TKO) is the 3 knockdown rule or if the referee steps in. Any corner retirement will be considered a technical knockout (TKO), unless the fight is subsequently decided by the judges’ scorecards, or is a declared No Contest.
M.9 Technical decision is settled by the judges’ scorecards at any time other than at the end of the scheduled rounds.
M.10 Majority Decision is defined as the same fighter scoring more points than the other, on two of the judges’ scorecards, but the third judge scoring a draw.
M.11 Split decision is where one fighter scores more points than the other on two of the judges’ scorecards, but the third judge scores the other fighter as the winner.
M.13 Unanimous Decision is defined as the same fighter scoring more points across all three of the judges’ scorecards.
M.14 A disqualification is when the bout is stopped short of a KO, TKO or judges’ decision because one or both contestants have repeatedly fouled or violated other rules, and the referee declares a disqualified boxer who as a result automatically loses the bout to the opponent.
M.15 All bets will be valid regardless of changes to the number of rounds to be fought.
M.16 For ‘Will Fight go the Distance’, if for any reason the number of rounds in a fight is changed then bets already placed will be void. For settlement, the official designated number of rounds must be fully completed for bets to be settled as Yes.
M.17 Statistics provided by the official scorer or the official website of the relevant competition or fixture will be used for settlement. Where statistics from an official scorer or official website are not available or there is significant evidence that information from these sources is incorrect, we will use independent evidence to support bet settlement.
M.18 If betting on fight winner 3-way (draw option), bets on either fighter to win will be settled as losers if there is a draw.
N. Basketball
N.1 Games must start on the set date (local stadium time) for bets to have action. If a match venue is altered, bets will stand if the home team is still designated as home. Games scheduled at a neutral venue will stand irrespective of how we list the event.
N.2 If a game is stopped for whatever reason but subsequently starts again (from the point in the game at which it was stopped) within 48 hours of the original game time, all bets will stand.
N.3 If the game is resumed but not finished within 48 hours of the original scheduled game time, this will be treated as an abandonment and bets on the original fixture will be void, not including bets of which the outcome had already been determined before the disruption to the game.
N.4 If a game is stopped for any reason but replayed in full, this will be treated as an abandonment and bets on the original fixture will be void, not including bets of which the outcome had already been determined before the disruption to the game.
N.5 There must be 5 minutes or less of scheduled game time left for bets to have action, unless the specific market outcome is already determined.
N.6 For all matches that are played as part of a two-legged tie, where there is an aggregate tie at the end of regulation time, overtime will be included to result the outcome of 2nd leg match bets.

N.9 The first half must be completed for first half bets to stand, unless settlement of bets is already determined. If a game is postponed or cancelled after the start, for the game and second half bets there must be 5 minutes or less for bets to have action, unless settlement of bets is already determined.
